Young Researchers “Work in Progress” Forum on

The Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions

The Minerva Center for the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions (Minerva Center RLEC) at the University of Haifa, is establishing a research forum for young researchers from varied disciplines, whose work is related to the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions.

The purpose of the forum is to create a small, high quality, interdisciplinary working group (10-12 researchers) that will enable and encourage fruitful work-in-progress discussions among colleagues.

The forum will include the Minerva Center young research team members, as well as graduate students (MA and PhD), postdoctoral researchers and young faculty members, from different disciplines such as: Law, Sociology, History, Economics, Political Science, Planning, Communication, Psychology, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Philosophy, Public Policy and Management, Public Health, Medicine and more.

The meetings will be conducted in English and will be coordinated by Adv. Ido Rosenzweig, Director of Research (Cyber, Terrorism and Belligerency), at the Minerva Center.

The forum will convene at the Center* on Wednesdays between 10:00-12:00, every other week during the semesters. Each meeting will focus on one or two research projects of the group members. The research will be presented at the beginning, followed by feedback and round table discussion among the participants.

In addition, the forum will conduct two young researchers workshops with participants from Israel and abroad.

Forum members are committed to attend all the meetings (about 10-12 meetings during the year) and present their research in one of the meetings. Researchers that will be interested in publishing their papers on the Center's website under "Discussion Papers" will be welcome to do so.
